Advanced Pop Art

This is an example of a more advanced pop art edit. While I colored the appropriate colors again, I also gave it a 'newsprint' filter which causes the small dots to appear. This gives it the look of a pictures from a newspaper. When coloring your picture, you are not limited to making the colors exactly as they are in real life (such as hair-if your hair's brown, you can change it to blond) but instead you are allowed to mess around and play with a whole selection.

Hands and Eyes

This is a funny edit where I used two pictures and took my eyes from one and pasted it on this picture. It's pretty simple to do this and the results are funny and bizarre!

Our Motion Shots

Using GIMP, I animated my series of motion shots of Hannah and I dancing. It's fun to be able to make it be more like a video and being able to alter how fast it goes!

GIF

This is a color cycle that I did of myself in GIMP. I had to make many different layers and color each one differently to give it this fun and colorful look. It allows you to make a variety of colors, letting you adjust the hue, saturation, and lightness.

Pop Art

This is a very edited picture of myself. It's moderately simple to add and alter different effects to ones picture through the Gimp program.

Foto Flexer

In this specific picture of Hannah and I, I cropped it because it was slightly off centered so I took off the extra that wasn't needed. I then used a neon setting that really emphasized Hannah's hair and my glasses.

I took this picture of Aubrey, Hannah, and Mr. Herbert taking pictures of their own. It was taken on a very low exposure so the first thing I did was change the lightness of the photo. Next, I touched up the saturation just a little. Finally, I added the sepia effect to give it a more unique appearance.

I like this funny picture of Hannah and I dancing. This was our action one so we were just goofing around and being dumb. I didn't really change much about this photo except touch up the saturation and hue.

I took this picture of a chain and added a "heat map" setting which presents the picture in a very unnatural look. It's exotic, but pretty interesting at the same time.

Manual Settings

These are a few pictures that I took with the digital camera on the super macro setting. Not only does this setting allow me to take very close up pictures, but it totally changes the focus on the camera to provide a much better quality look. This avoids the blur and light given from a flash when snapping a shot and instead produces a much more interesting picture with lots of detail.

I like this collage that I made to show the difference between a high exposure setting as well as a low exposure setting. I appreciate how the camera allows the photographer to choose which setting is best for the surroundings. One could also choose the opposite setting than what is recommended for a unique and original appearance. If you are in a very bright area, you can set it to a lower exposure so the picture will not appear as bright. For dark surroundings, you may make use of higher setting to allow more light to be provided by the camera in the picture.

The ISO setting decides whether the picture being taken is in a higher sensitivity or a lower one. The higher the sensitivity, the less light is needed in an exposure. I enjoy being able to choose if I think the scenery will need a much higher or a more lower ISO. The lower the number you choose, the less "noise" you will have which is more appealing in a picture.

In these drive mode pictures, I took one of me just standing still. Then, leaving the camera still propped up on the playground stucture, I told Hannah to come dance with me. It was quite windy outside, as you can tell. I like this setting because it allows you to take self-portraits for a time that no one is their to take it for you.

I really like this collage of my sepia and black and white shots. I think that the reddish color really brings out these photos. The sepia is actually one of my favorite settings overall. It gives pictures the perfect vintage look.
